Perfect Love Casts Out Fear from 1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.” – 1 John 4:18 ESV
The coronavirus brought panic in the world. Many people lost their lives at the early stage, as it took even the medical experts by surprise. As we began to recover from the corona crisis, Russia attacked Ukrain; a war which has claimed a lot of innocent lives. But the war is also the cause of a global economic crisis. Energy and, food-stuffs have doubled.
Stock prices in major stock exchange markets like New Yock and the London stock exchange market suddenly went bearish. People are in panic, people are afraid to lose their jobs because utilities and house payments are expensive. Political leaders are making alliances to safe their countries from war.

Many people are living in fear and spiritual Isolation.

But more severe is fear of death. And many people seek the remedy in the wrong places. The scripture says, “fear brings torment”. When you are afraid, you are in torment, in pain within, uncertain of going to heaven. But the good news is that God has given us a remedy against fear: Perfect Love. He says we can cancel or avoid all instants of fear by cultivating a loving relationship with God by believing in Jesus Christ and making Him the Lord of our lives.

Many people are not ready to die. They are not ready to face Judgement. The Bible says, “it is appointed unto man once to die and after that face Judgement. Hebrew 9:27ry one of us shall give account of himself to God.” Rom 14:12

What does it mean to be perfect in Love?

First of all, you must repent of your sins and accept jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, then obey the doctrines of Christ. John 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[b] Christ Jesus our Lord”.

Jesus said his disciples must teach those that are converted to Chrsitianity to obey His teachings

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

23 Jesus said, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. John 14:23-24

PERFECT LOVE CAST OUT ALL FEAR.

When you are in Love with God, all other fears will bow and give way.

91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.”
For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler,
    and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers.
Under his wings you will take refuge.
His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
nor of the arrow that flies by day,
nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday Psalms 91: 1-6

But now thus says the Lordhe who created you, O Jacob,he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. Isaiah 43:1 ESV

27 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. Psalms 27:1-4
